WIF Announces 2025 Fellowship Cohort, Expanding Mentorship and Industry Access

WIF (formerly Women in Film) has announced the 2025 class of its WIF Fellowship, a year-long initiative designed to support and advance the careers of women, nonbinary, and trans professionals across the entertainment industry. Now in its third year, the program offers mentorship, masterclasses, career strategy sessions, and opportunities for industry networking.

Selected from a competitive pool of 740 applicants, this year’s cohort includes more than 50 mid-career professionals based in or connected to the Los Angeles area. The fellows represent a wide range of roles—directors, writers, cinematographers, producers, line producers, executives, agents, artisans, and other below-the-line crew. Each fellow receives at least six mentorship sessions within their discipline-specific cohort, supported by a team of mentors from both creative and business sectors of the industry.

“As our ever-evolving industry faces extreme hardships, community is an essential resource for rising professionals,” said WIF Deputy Director Maikiko James. “WIF is honored to champion this exemplary class of fellows during a pivotal moment in their careers.”

Program alumni have gone on to work with leading companies including Netflix, Marvel, Disney, AMC Networks, A+E, MTV, and SyFy.

The Golden Globe Foundation proudly supports the Women in Film Fellowship Program.
