Mario Amaya

Born in Bogota, Colombia, Mario Amaya has a BA in Mass Communication with a Major in Journalism from Pontificia Universidad, Javeriana. He started his career working in Colombia for Caracol Radio as a broadcast journalist before moving to the United States as West Coast correspondent for BBC Mundo, the Spanish language branch of the BBC Worldwide.

Amaya won the Society of Professional Journalists Award in 2004 for Best Healthcare/Medical story for an investigative report on the Autism spectrum in Southern California, and the 2003 Best Feature Story on Regional Mexican Music while working for The Press-Enterprise Company in Riverside, California. Since 2007, he has been the Hollywood correspondent for El Tiempo, the largest daily newspaper in Colombia, with an average daily weekday readership of over 1.3 million. Other outlets include the prestigious Colombian magazines Cromos and Shock, as well as Caras Magazine in Colombia, Puerto Rico, and Peru. As a frequent writer for Esquire in Colombia for the past decade, Amaya’s byline has also been published in Esquire international editions including Chile, Mexico, Spain, Greece, and Kazakhstan.

Vera Anderson

Treasurer

Journalist and photographer Vera Anderson was born in California and has been a member of the HFPA, representing Mexico, since 1996. After starting out as an ad agency copywriter, she traveled to Baja, California in the late 80s to work with legendary director Sam Peckinpah, doing research and story development. Back in Los Angeles, Anderson began writing for the Los Angeles Reader and the Advocate, and building her photographic resume with exclusive editorial assignments including Jack Nicholson, Joan Baez and the Lakers. In 1994, at the recommendation of Variety chief Peter Bart, she was hired to launch the new monthly magazine Cine Premiere in Mexico, under the umbrella of the original U.S. edition of Premiere. In 1997, Anderson’s award-winning photo-documentary book “A Woman Like You – The Face of Domestic Violence” (Seal Press) was published, and in 1999 she produced the indie film, The Dogwalker, written and directed by Paul Duran. 2024 marks her 30th year with Cine Premiere as Hollywood correspondent, and her 28th year with the Golden Globes.

Henry Arnaud

President

Based in Los Angeles, Henry Arnaud has been interviewing the biggest names in the entertainment industry for over 20 years.  In France, his outlets have included Vogue, CNTraveler, Glamour, Elle, Tele 7, Le Journal du Dimanche, Tele Cable, Cinema and others. He also works in other French-speaking countries, including Switzerland and Canada, and is currently the correspondent for Le Matin Dimanche, Switzerland’s biggest French-language newspaper, as well as contributing to 20 Minutes newspaper, published in both Geneva and Lausanne. Arnaud is U.S. correspondent for Luxe, a quarterly supplement of Bilan, one of Switzerland’s top business magazines. He covers trends, innovation, craftsmanship, and many of the personalities who have marked the luxury industry. His frequent television and radio interviews are found on TF1, France Television, RTS, M6 and TVA and he is an on-air personality for Canada’s biggest French radio network Cogeco.

Rocío Ayuso

Spanish journalist Rocio Ayuso graduated from the Universidad del Pais Vasco (UPV) with a BA in Communications, Science, and Cinema before completing an MA in Journalism from Universidad Autónoma Madrid (UAM) and a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Deusto (Spain). Ayuso has worked around the world as a journalist starting in Spain before heading to London and then Los Angeles where she worked for international news agency Agencia EFE and other outlets including Canal Plus TV, Hearst Publications, and Grupo Prisa. She currently writes for Spain’s leading newspaper, El Pais, and the online media, Audiovisual 451, covering art, entertainment, and the film industry. Ayuso has written two books: “La Guerra En Directo” about the first Gulf War, and “Bill Plympton, the Tireless Filmmaker” about the well-known American animator. In 2015, she was awarded the International Media Award by the ICG Publicist Association and has served on many film festival juries, including the Stuttgart Festival, Mumbai Arena Film Festival, and Festival de Series in Madrid.

Lena Basse

Lena Basse holds a BA from Kiev State University in Ukraine and also completed additional entertainment studies at the University of California, L.A. (UCLA). She has been a prolific entertainment correspondent for outlets all over Eastern Europe since 2010, focusing specifically on Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania. Her work has been featured in VGL Cinema, Elle Ukraine, Indie Entertainment Magazine and Moteris Lithuania, and she currently works as the Hollywood correspondent and columnist for the popular website DayNightTV.com. Basse has recorded multiple episodes of the HFPA’s official podcast, “HFPA in Conversation” since joining the association in 2016 and does a deep dive into the lives and careers of many talented actors and filmmakers for this in-depth series. In addition to writing for the goldenglobes.com website, Basse has also served as a jury member for the French Riviera Film Festival since 2019. Lena Basse won third prize in the 14th National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Awards in the category, One-on-One Interview, Film Personalities, for her Golden Globe podcast, “HFPA in Conversation: Ethan Hawke Shines a Light on History.”

Gilda Baum-Lappe

Born in Mexico City, Lappe studied communications at the Universidad Anahuac before being offered a summer internship at El Heraldo de Mexico newspaper, which became a permanent job at the end of that summer. While writing columns focusing on art, entertainment, architecture and design, Gilda also studied drama and music before joining the Film Critics Association PECIME (Periodistas Cinematográficos de Mexico). Lappe became a staff writer and columnist for TV Guide in Mexico and launched the radio program La Familia Teleguia. She then commuted between L.A. and Madrid writing for outlets including Hola, La Revista, Telva and the ABC Newspaper, as well as working as a photographer on many of her own stories. During her eight years in Spain, Lappe was correspondent for Televisa News Television network, covering arts and entertainment, and currently writes for En5 Mexico and takes photographs for Hola, Moi and Quien.

Elmar Biebl

German-born Elmar Biebl began his journalism career as a reporter at the local daily, Straubinger Tagblatt. He then joined the national weekly, Stern, and four years later, the national magazine Dialog. Biebl then became a staff writer for the national daily, Welt, and was later named editor-in-chief at John Jahr Publishing, Hamburg. During that time, Biebl helped develop and start Cinema which later became Europe’s most-read film monthly. He moved to Los Angeles to work as a correspondent for Cinema and as a freelance contributor for German print, radio, TV and online. Biebl worked for Premiere TV, as a consultant for the TV network Pro7, as a writer for the weekly magazine Bunte and he continues to analyze Hollywood trends, awards, and business in video commentaries for MB-TV’s online service. Biebl has written five film-related books including the bestselling “Behind the Scenes” about special effects in films and “The Films of Walt Disney.” He has won the International Journalist Jury Gold Medal and the La Pluma de Plata journalism award in Mexico. For the last decade, he has been a jury and committee member of the annual Cinema for Peace awards and was invited by the Dubai Film Festival as a juror. He has served as Vice President, Director of the Board and Parliamentarian of the HFPA several times.

Silvia Bizio

Italian journalist, writer, producer Silvia Bizio has written about film from Los Angeles for the prestigious daily newspaper La Repubblica and the weekly magazines L’Espresso, D and F since 1985. Bizio graduated in Literature and Philosophy from the University of Rome and earned her MA in Sociology and Mass Communication at UCLA. She has written several books including “Los Angeles Babilonia” and “Cinema Italian Style,” a history of Italian cinema at the Academy Awards. Bizio received the inaugural International Media Award from the American Publicists Guild in 1991, was Artistic Director of the contemporary film series Cinema Italian Style from 2004 to 2010 and Co-Artistic Director of the Taormina Film Festival in 2018 and 2019. She produced her first short film as a producer, The Night Shift Belongs to the Stars, directed by Sophia Loren’s son, Edoardo Ponti, and starring Nastassja Kinski, which won best short film at the Tribeca Film Festival and was shortlisted for the Academy Awards. In 2016, Bizio co-produced the documentary You Never Had It: An Evening with Bukowski, based on her video interview with famous author Charles Bukowski in 1981 and directed by Matteo Borgardt. She also produced the 2018 documentary, Camp Monticello: A Forgotten History, highlighting the history and importance of the Italian Prisoner of War camp built in Monticello, Arkansas during WWII.

Raffi Boghosian

Raffi Boghosian is an experienced and accomplished Arabic producer, journalist, and television host. He has over a decade of experience in media, and he owns and operates the Hollywood-based Boghos Entertainment, a leading full-service production company servicing the broadcast industry in the Middle East and North African Region. Boghosian also serves as the Hollywood correspondent for the Dubai-based television network Al-Arabiya TV, and as a writer for Forbes Middle East and Arab News. Forbes Middle East is a monthly edition of Forbes for the Arab world, championing inspiring business journalism and in-depth interviews published in print in English and Arabic, with digital versions of both available worldwide. Saudi-based Arab News was established in 1975 and is widely considered the Middle East’s newspaper of record and the biggest English language daily in the Kingdom. In 2014, Boghosian became a member of the US Department of State’s Foreign Affairs Center and is also a member of the Critics’ Choice Association and the Motion Picture Association (MPA).

David Caspi

Born and raised in Petah Tikva, east of Tel Aviv, Caspi majored in Arabic and Middle Eastern studies before serving in the Israeli Defense Force as a decorated operations room head sergeant in the army’s communication branch. In 2003, he enrolled at Tel Aviv University for his BA in Political Science and Communication and also attended Koteret Journalism School to obtain his journalism diploma. Caspi began his career at Radio Tel Aviv, one of the most popular stations in Israel, and was eventually promoted to Head of Programs. In 2010, the Israeli journalist moved to Los Angeles as Israel’s sole West Coast correspondent reporting to leading outlets, primarily top news & entertainment website Mako and longest running TV program “Erev Tov with Guy Pines”. In addition to covering Hollywood for Israel, he also covered Israeli media globally, contributing to The Hollywood Reporter and highlighting up-and-coming artists from Israel in Billboard magazine and Rolling Stone.

Jean-Paul Chaillet

French born Jean-Paul Chaillet started his journalistic career in Paris in 1981 and moved to Los Angeles nine years later, joining the HFPA in 1992 as the entertainment correspondent for the prestigious Premiere film magazine. Since then, he has written for numerous French magazines and newspapers, including L’Evénement du Jeudi, L’Express, Ciné Live, Studio Ciné Live, Madame Figaro and Version Femina. In 1999, he received the International Media Award bestowed (at that time) by the Publicists Guild of America, now part of the ICG Guild. He is currently the correspondent for the Figaro Daily, the Point Pop website and the cultural monthly, Transfuge. Chaillet co-authored a biography of Francis Ford Coppola published in French in 1982 and – three years later – in English by St. Martin’s Press. His biography of author Somerset Maugham was published in 2014.

Tina Jøhnk Christensen

Tina Jøhnk Christensen is an award-winning journalist, author and translator from Odense, Denmark. She holds an MA in English and Film Science from the University of Odense and Copenhagen and specializes in film and entertainment news, features, and interviews. She also taught Film History at the Open University in Odense and British Literary History from 1350 to the present at the University of Odense, Denmark. Christensen moved to Los Angeles in 2001 and joined the HFPA in 2013. She is a respected freelance correspondent for Scandinavian media including Scandinavian Traveler, Icelandic Airlines inflight magazine Stop Over, the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, the film magazine Ekko and the men’s magazine King. Christensen is fluent in her mother tongue as well as in English and German, and she speaks some Italian and French. She previously worked on translations of fiction and non-fiction from English and German into Danish and in 2018, she released the Ole Henriksen book translated as “It Must Feel Good: Take Your Heart on the Road to Success,” published by Politikens Forlag.

Rui Coimbra

Rui Henriques Coimbra is a reporter and social influencer based in Southern California. Born in Africa, he has been a member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association since 1995. Coimbra has been the US correspondent for many Portuguese publications, including his current assignment at Público. His past work as an entertainment journalist appears in Expresso, Elle, Independente, and K magazine. He continues to serve on film festival juries.

Jenny Cooney

Australian-born Jenny Cooney has been based in Los Angeles for over 30 years and her film and TV outlets include Sydney Morning Herald, Foxtel magazine and TV Week. She is also a previous U.S. editor of UK’s Empire magazine and a regular contributor for Harper’s Bazaar, Who Weekly and Network Nine’s Today Show. Cooney has spent her career covering ‘Aussies in Hollywood’ and has an award-nominated LISTNR podcast of the same name. A former winner of the Publicist Guild’s International Media Award and voter of the International AACTA awards, Jenny also writes for New Zealand TV Guide and has completed special TV, print and moderating assignments for non-profits including Screen Australia, Gold Coast Film Festival, Australian International Screen Forum (N.Y.),  Australians in Film and NFSA (National Film and Sound Archive).

Andrés Correa Guatarasma

Venezuelan-born journalist and playwright, Andrés Correa Guatarasma has covered news from more than 25 countries. He has been based in New York City since 2007.

In 1993, he graduated Cum Laude in Social Communications from UCAB, where he later became a Professor of International Journalism after finishing a MA in Foreign Affairs. Since 1992, he has written for El Universal (one of Venezuela’s main and oldest newspapers); AP/Associated Press (the largest news agency in the world); Agencia EFE (the major multimedia news agency in the Spanish language); and El Diario NY/Impremedia (the oldest and largest Spanish newspaper in the USA).

He is a member of the NY Foreign Press Center; the International Federation of Journalists; the Dramatists Guild of America; and the North American Academy of the Spanish Language, a branch of “Real Academia Española” (RAE), the official institution responsible for overseeing the use of the Spanish language in the world.

He has written nine plays in English and Spanish, five of which have been finalists in the National Competition of Repertorio Español NYC. He has also been a collaborator of Sundance Institute (Theater Lab Selection Reader) and the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), and has written scripts for TV and radio.

Yola Czaderska-Hayek

Yola Czaderska-Hayek graduated with a Master’s degree in Literature, has authored several books on Hollywood, and has written over a thousand articles. Her online publication Film WP has 5 million readers every month and for the last 25 years she has been writing for the newspaper TEMI. Czaderska-Hayek is also a promoter of Polish film and art in Hollywood. In 1984 during the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, she ran one kilometer as a torchbearer. In 2009, the President of Poland, Lech Kaczynski, awarded Czaderska-Hayek with the highest civilian medal, the Officer’s Cross of Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland. In 2021 Czaderska-Hayek received the honorary title of Ambassador in Poland.

Patricia Danaher

Irish-born writer, broadcaster, producer and academic, Patricia Danaher has worked in radio, print and TV in Ireland, the UK, Japan and Argentina. She was awarded a Nieman Fellowship to Harvard University in 2004. Danaher is currently completing a doctorate in ecopsychology and is a recent graduate of NYU iMBA program.

Ersi Danou

Ersi Danou has been an entertainment correspondent for major Greek outlets since 1993 and a member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for 20 years. She has worked for a top Greek daily newspaper, Efimerida ton Sintakton, since 2014. In the last five years, Ersi has been an active member of the HFPA Non-English Language Film Committee, in charge of the Foreign Language Film Series and has acted as the HFPA liaison for local non-English film festivals. She holds a BFA from New York University, has completed additional studies in film at the American Film Institute and has a MA in consciousness studies from the University of Philosophical Research.

Bárbara de Oliveira Pinto

After obtaining a degree in Journalism and an MA in Opera in London and Paris, Bárbara de Oliveira Pinto started working in Portugal as a reporter for the news channel RTPN.

Soon after, she moved to Los Angeles as RTP’s cinema correspondent. Following diplomatic work at the United Nations in New York, Bárbara founded a production company, Roadmedia, under which she executive-produced a weekly cinema show and several reports for Portuguese National TV.

De Oliveira Pinto has since collaborated with several outlets, namely Jornal de Notícias and RTP. She has been a member of the HFPA since 2016 and a member of the Board of Directors since 2019.

Gabrielle Donnelly

Gabrielle Donnelly was born and raised in London and educated at St. Angela’s Providence Convent Grammar School and Royal Holloway College, London University. She became a journalist, moved to Los Angeles in the early 1980’s, and joined the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in 1985. She has worked prolifically since then, contributing show business interviews to a range of British newspapers and magazines, including, currently, Weekend, The Daily Express, Saga, and Candis. She has also published six novels, including the Los Angeles Times best-seller “The Girl In The Photograph” and the critically acclaimed “The Little Women Letters.” Through the latter she became involved with the Louisa May Alcott community at Orchard House in Concord, Massachusetts, where she travels most years to give a speech at the annual Summer Conversations Series.

Armando Gallo

Armando Gallo was born in Venice, grew up in Rome and started his career as a correspondent from London in 1967 for the Italian weekly BIG. He moved to LA in 1975 with a contract from CIAO 2001, the rock bible of Italian youth. Soon he was also writing about movies and television for the Italian weekly TV Sorrisi e Canzoni, Ongaku Senka (Japan) and Suosikki (Finland). He joined the HFPA in 1978. Following the English success of his authorized biography of the rock band Genesis, he formed a publishing company in LA and Rome, producing over 40 books on U2, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Springsteen, Peter Gabriel, Michael Jackson, The Police, Madonna, the Beatles and the Stones. In 1984, Gallo lived between London, Milan and Rome and finally moved back to LA in 1991 when he rejoined the HFPA, still writing for TV Sorrisi e Canzoni, TUTTO and CIAK. The following year, he shot and produced a video for U2, Even Better Than The Real Thing. For the past 30 years, he has concentrated on writing about movies, television and the Golden Globes. Since 2010 he has been writing for Oggi and Grazia, the two oldest Italian magazines.

Margaret Gardiner

Margaret Gardiner holds a BSc. in Psychology and is the author of two books on health and beauty published by Human & Rousseau (South Africa). Her research articles have appeared in The Simmons Business School’s Management Magazine and in Huffington Post. The LA Press Club nominated her for a National Arts and Entertainment Journalism Award in 2015 for her article: “Africa’s New Hope – Mentoring Mothers” (Huffington Post). The ICG Publicists Awards has nominated her twice for the International Media Award. In 2016, Gardiner introduced a series “Women in Hollywood” on the Golden Globes website celebrating women behind the camera succeeding against systemic obstacles. Her personality profiles have appeared in Marie Claire, The Week-end Argus, TV+, You, Huisgenoot, Cosmopolitan and People magazine (South Africa). Gardiner has worked in various aspects of entertainment for 20+ years and currently covers entertainment for The Sunday Times and monthly glossies, Rooi Rose and Fair Lady.

Earl Gibson III

Earl Gibson III has been a photojournalist for over 35 years and he has been a contributor for ShutterStock, Associated Press and Getty Images for the past 15 years. He is the lead photographer for the NAACP Image Awards as well as the United Negro College Fund’s “An Evening of Stars.” Gibson is currently an Ambassador for Leica Cameras and serves as a photographer for their corporate events in Los Angeles. His work has appeared in Rolling Stone, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Vogue Magazine, The Atlantic, Essence Magazine, Ebony/Jet and a host of both foreign and domestic publications. He is a vintage camera, car and watch enthusiast.

Kristien Gijbels

Kristien Gijbels has been an HFPA member since 2014. After graduating with a BA in Journalism from Hogeschool PXL (formerly known as XIOS Hogeschool Limburg), Gijbels became a full-time employee of DPG Media in 2011, the biggest media company in Belgium and The Netherlands. While there, she has worked in major print, online, TV, and radio outlets including Het Laatste Nieuws, VTM Nieuws, and Q-Music.

André Guimond

Born in Canada, André Guimond came to Los Angeles in 1974 to study film at UCLA. He has been living in this city since.

He received two degrees from UCLA: first an M.A. (Major: Theater Arts, Film. Emphasis: Film Criticism) and then, later on, an M.B.A.

Since his early days at the UCLA film school, he has been an active journalist and a regular Hollywood correspondent. Already, while still at the UCLA film school, he started his career in journalism writing a weekly column titled “From Hollywood” for the major Quebec newspaper La Presse (in Montreal).

André Guimond has been a member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association since 1976. In addition to voting for the Golden Globe Awards, he has acted as the Chairman of the Foreign Language Film Committee for many years. In that capacity, he coordinated submissions of Foreign Language Films for Golden Globe Award consideration and established strong relationships with foreign film producers and directors. He is still a very active member of that committee now named the Non-English-Language Film Committee.

He has also hands-on filmmaking experience as he worked as a 2nd assistant director in Quebec.

Still active after all those years, André Guimond writes for CTVM INFO, a highly specialized trade publication that reaches members of the Quebec/Canadian film industry and provides articles/ reviews/interviews/industry assessments to this publication, acting as its correspondent and covering the film industry from Los Angeles.

Eun Seon Ha

Eun Seon Ha has worked as editor, writer and contributor for various Korean publications covering film and music for the past 20 years. After she graduated from New York University Steinhardt with an MA in Media, Culture and Communication, she honed her craft as a journalist interviewing Asian celebrities with a focus on Korean filmmakers, classical musicians and K-Pop artists. Ha is also responsible for researching and writing policy reports on the American Motion Picture and Entertainment Industry for KoBiz (Korean Film Biz Zone), a site offering a wide range of news, reports and publications. Additionally, Ha contributes K-Pop trend reports to KOCCA (Korea Creative Content Agency), covers numerous film and music awards, as well attending film festivals including Cannes, Toronto, Sundance and Busan. Recently, Ha had the privilege of being the first journalist to interview two of Korea’s Oscar winners, director Bong Joon-ho and actress Yoon Yuh-jung. Her interviews in the press room are seen all over the world through YouTube channels which are uploaded by several entertainment magazines. Currently, she is an editor of arts and entertainment at the Korea Times LA, and serves as the US Correspondent for the Korean Film Council (KOFIC).

Itsuko Hirai

Born in Tokyo and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Thailand, Itsuko Hirai is an entertainment journalist and film curator whose work bridges East and West.  In 1996, she earned a BA in Political Science and Economics from Meji University in Japan. She began her career working as an editor for the monthly entertainment magazine, CUT, in 2000.  She relocated to New York City in 2006 to continue her career in entertainment journalism. Taking on other pursuits, she moved to Los Angeles after accepting the role of Vice Consul of the Consulate General of Japan from 2015 to 2018.  She not only worked as a diplomat but also as a cultural attaché working to promote Japanese films and culture in Southern California and Arizona.  Since 2018, Hirai has been employed as the LA correspondent for Japan’s Movie Walker Press, and is also the film curator for Japan House Los Angeles.  She was selected for the first inclusion Initiative Press Corps at the Sundance Film Festival in 2019.

John Hiscock

Born in Southampton, England, John Hiscock joined his first newspaper, the East Essex Gazette, at age 15, and since then has reported on major international news stories from three continents. In London, he worked for the Ilford Pictorial, Chelsea News and joined a fellow journalist in freelancing from the Royal Courts of Justice, covering divorces and high court cases for national newspapers. He joined the Daily Sketch, a national newspaper headquartered in London in 1969, and when it folded in 1972, went on to the Daily Mail, then The Sun, which Rupert Murdoch had recently bought. News stories he covered from the U.K included the Northern Ireland sectarian battles, the military coup in Portugal, and the Turkish Airlines DC10 crash in Paris. Hiscock then moved to Australia and worked on The Australian and later the Sydney Daily Mirror before moving to New York with Murdoch’s News Corporation news bureau, supplying stories to his English and Australian outlets. He then moved to Los Angeles where he was the West Coast bureau chief for the Daily Telegraph, covering earthquakes in L.A and Mexico City, the Korean Airlines air crash in Guam, the John Lennon assassination, mass shootings, gang wars, a Democratic Convention, a World Cup, the 1984 Olympics and the O.J. Simpson trial, among many other stories. He switched to writing features in 2000 after joining the HFPA.

Helen Hoehne

President, Golden Globes LLC.  As President of Golden Globes LLC, Helen Hoehne leads one of the world’s most recognizable entertainment awards and has overseen its recent restructuring, resulting in substantial growth in size, diversity, and global engagement. A respected and highly accomplished media professional and journalist, Hoehne joined the Globes in 2004, assuming various leadership positions and spearheading initiatives to enhance diverse representation, improve governance, and expand accessibility within the entertainment industry. Her visionary leadership and dedication to inclusivity and promoting ethical standards have been instrumental in shaping the Golden Globe Awards into a beacon of progress and excellence within the industry. Born in Hamburg, Germany, she earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology before embarking on a journalism career at Germany’s Bauer Media Group. Throughout her career, Helen contributed to several publications in Germany, including TV Movie, InStyle, and Empire. Her expertise expanded into broadcast journalism, where she served as a contributor for the German television channels ProSieben and RTL. Prior to her role as president, Hoehne held the position of Creative Director at Upgrade Media, driving strategic development, overseeing marketing initiatives, and orchestrating successful product placements for a wide range of clients. Helen also serves on the Board of Directors of the Golden Globe Foundation, which has awarded $55 million in grants to support arts, education, journalism, and film restoration programs for various non-profit organizations. Helen currently resides in Los Angeles.

Anke Hofmann

Born in Wiesbaden, Germany, Hofmann initially envisioned a medical career as a doctor in developing countries. After moving to Los Angeles at age 23, her life’s focus pivoted to journalism. As an entertainment reporter, she regularly freelances for the German publishing house Funke Mediengruppe. She writes for Germany’s highest-circulated bi-weekly entertainment guide TV Digital. She also contributes to Germany’s oldest weekly programming guide Hörzu, the science/tech/history/health-oriented bi-monthly sister magazine Hörzu Wissen, and the newly established quarterly magazine Streaming, which is focused on digital content. Hofmann is also a contributor for TV Direkt, Gong, as well as , www.Goldenekamera.de, the online portal and companion to the annual German film and television award Die Goldene Kamera. Hofmann enjoys discovering and writing about the humanity behind Hollywood, and hence the philanthropic efforts of the HFPA – which she joined in 2001 – are particularly close to her heart. She has served as Vice President of the HFPA in 2017 and 2018, and has been elected to the Board of Directors under multiple administrations. In 2009, Anke was honored with the International Media Award, presented by the ICG Publicists Awards.
