Los Angeles City College (LACC) wrapped up the academic year with its annual scholarship ceremony at the LACC Student Union on May 20. Students gathered to receive Scholarship Award certificates recognizing their achievements.

Golden Globe Foundation Chief Executive Officer Gregory P. Goeckner was in attendance as the Foundation’s Cinema/TV and Journalism Fellowship Awards were presented on stage.

Each recipient was selected for their exceptional creative work and academic performance in LACC’s renowned media programs. These fellowships, made possible by the Golden Globe Foundation, are designed to support emerging storytellers and reporters as they prepare to enter the professional world.

The scholarship ceremony was part of a larger year-end celebration that also included the LACC Film Festival—a vibrant showcase of student films highlighting original voices and diverse perspectives across genres.

The Golden Globe Foundation is proud to champion programs that foster access, opportunity, and excellence in media education.
