College of the Canyons

The College of the Canyons (COC) is a public community college in Santa Clarita known for its academic and technical career training programs. The Media Entertainment Arts Department (MEA) prepares roughly 1,000 students each year for careers in filmmaking, animation, and journalism. MEA’s production facilities offer industry-standard training on first-class equipment ranging from cinema cameras to studio technology. MEA’s media productions are collectively branded “Canyons Media.” COC collaborates regularly with partners in the entertainment industry, including S.W.A.T., L.A. Film Locations, PAE Studios, SCVTV, Caravan West Productions, and LA County Department of Arts and Culture.
