Introducing Get Lit’s New Creative Career Lab!

Event Date: Year-long program starts Sunday, July 14, 2024 - Get Lit Headquarters, Koreatown, LA - 10:00AM - 4:00PM

GET LIT have announced the launch of Creative Career Lab, a program designed to help people between the ages of 18-28 launch a career in the creative and nonprofit sectors!

WHAT IT IS

A FREE year-long workforce development program with weekly workshops and one-on-one mentoring from industry leaders and introductions to top creative companies, nonprofits, and startups. 

Attendees graduate with a professional resume, letters of recommendation, certifications, and concrete skills to help in their professional career. Best of all, Get Lit will give tons of support helping everyone who graduates from the program find full-time employment in career paths like social media/communications, development/fundraising, and nonprofit/arts administration.

WHEN & WHERE

  • One year of weekly workshops, one-on-one mentoring, and more!
  • Sundays 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Get Lit’s office in Koreatown, Los Angeles
  • Lunch included!
  • Starts on Sunday, July 14

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

This program is for Los Angeles County–based young adults aged 18-28 who:

  • Belong to a community disproportionately targeted by drug enforcement policies (You can see the full criteria at www.GetLit.org/creative-career-lab.)
  • Are ready to pursue a career in the nonprofit or creative industries at the end of the program on May 31, 2025
  • Are committed to attending weekly in-person workshops every Sunday (with lunch included!)
