As thousands of families remain displaced due to the Los Angeles wildfires, many in the creative community are facing significant challenges. To support those affected by the disaster, we’ve compiled a list of organizations offering financial aid, legal assistance, and recovery resources. Whether you need emergency grants, legal guidance, or community support, these links can help navigate the road to recovery.

  • LA County Arts & Culture – Wildfire Recovery Resources
    Provides a comprehensive list of digital resources to support artists and cultural organizations in Los Angeles County affected by the 2025 wildfires.

  • California Lawyers for the Arts – Legal Assistance for Creatives
    Provides legal services, educational programs, and alternative dispute resolution for artists and arts organizations, including support for those affected by disasters.

  • Center for Cultural Innovation – LA Arts Community Fire Relief Fund
    Administers a fund providing up to $10,000 in unrestricted grants to Los Angeles County artists and arts workers affected by the Palisades and Eaton fires.

  • Arts for LA – Wildfire Relief Resources for Artists
    Maintains an updated spreadsheet of resources specifically for artists and creative workers impacted by the LA wildfires, and offers a platform to share experiences and provide mutual aid.

  • Craft Emergency Relief Fund – Emergency Grants for Craft Artists
    Provides $3,000 emergency relief grants to craft artists who have experienced recent and significant losses due to disasters like wildfires.

UPDATED 3:56 PM PT, TUESDAY, FEB. 18, 2025:

Los Angeles has opened four new recovery centers where survivors of January’s wildfires can receive assistance for employment, family and business needs.

The Impacted Worker and Family Recovery Centers are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the following locations:

  • 5446 Sepulveda Blvd. in Culver City
  • 13356 Eldridge Ave. in Sylmar
  • 4305 Degnan Blvd. in west Los Angeles
  • 2130 First St. in east Los Angeles

Assistance available includes:

  • Emergency shelter
  • Rental assistance
  • Filing taxes, claiming up to $10K in tax credits
  • Referrals to immigration services
  • Educational and mental health resources
  • After-school programs

The Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles will provide case workers who will provide personalized assistance and help Angelenos use the organization’s Relief Navigator, an online tool that can help curate a disaster action plan. The navigator can connect individuals with government programs, insurance assistance, home damage remediation and other resources.
